New Inland Container Depot in Dublin
DSG, in partnership with CCIS (CMA CGM Inland Services), has opened a new inland container depot in the Dublin Inland Port.
Introduction
On December 4th, the opening of the new inland container depot in the Dublin Inland Port took place. This project aims to ease the burden on quayside terminals as well offering a high-grade option to companies looking to manage their empty equipment.
What is the project about?
With a capacity of up to 3,500 TEU's, the depot will be used by container lines and leasing companies to store empties in a location that is away from the port, freeing up space on quay.
The depot will provide a full suite of services alongside storage including: container refurbishment, maintenance and repairs, reefer repairs, pre-trip inspections and more.
New beginnings
This is a new venture and we are excited to get started. Our team is delighted to be able to further improve the options for our customers. In partnership with CCIS, we believe that we can provide a service that will benefit from the French company's expertise in Inland depots and our operational experience, considering as well our knowledge of the local market.
We have a brilliant team of thirteen people, overseen by operations manager Dave Conroy, formerly supervisor in Brexit FM.
