Conor Doyle joined D.F. Doyle in 1968. Grandson of the founder Denis Francis Doyle, he has been intimately involved with the growth and development of the company. Conor is Honorary Consul of Finland and served as Chairman of Cork Harbour Commissioners (’91-’93) and President Cork Chamber of Commerce (’97-’99).
Frank Doyle joined the company in 1963, he is actively involved with the growth of the Doyle Shipping Group. As a director and shareholder he oversees its expansion and development by acquisition & diversification.
Brian McCarthy is CEO of Doyle Shipping Group. Brian leads the executive team in strengthening the Group’s business units and market competitiveness for the long term success of Doyle Shipping Group. Since joining the Group in 1980, Brian has held a variety of positions. For several years, he was responsible for operational activities in Cork. In 1983, he was appointed to the role of Managing Director of R.A. Burke Foynes. In 1990 he became Managing Director of R.A. Burke Dublin and in 2006 he was appointed CEO of Burke Shipping Group. In his current role as Group CEO, Brian is responsible for providing strategic direction for Doyle Shipping Group. The Group has offices in all the major Irish ports and over 350 employees.
Glen O’Connor has been working with Doyle Shipping Group for over 20 years and has previously held positions including General Manager of the ro/ro services division and operations manager of the stevedoring division.
In 2012 Glen was appointed as Deputy CEO where his key role is to assist the Group CEO in the corporate development, strategic expansion and general management of Doyle Shipping Group. Glen is also responsible for managing the Groups’ stevedoring divisions in Dublin and Belfast.
Diarmuid O’Neill, is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Doyle Shipping Group and our parent company the Doyle Group. In his capacity as CFO, Diarmuid oversees the Groups finance functions including strategic financial planning and analysis, tax, information systems and internal audits. Diarmuid joined the Group in 2014 and brings 20 years of experience in financial management to Doyle Shipping Group. Prior to joining the Group he spent 14 years with AIB where he headed up the Corporate Banking Division in Ireland. Prior to working with AIB he spent 6 years with BDO Simpson Xavier Chartered Accountants working with their audit and Corporate Finance Division. Diarmuid is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland with an Accountancy Degree from University College Cork and is also a Graduate of Harvard Business School.
Pat Brennan has extensive experience in the shipping industry. Pat joined Doyle Shipping Group in 1989 and has held a number of roles within the Group including Managing Director of R.A. Burke. In 2005 Pat was appointed as Commercial Director of Doyle Shipping Group, a position where he has overall responsibility for the planning and development of the Groups commercial strategy and leads the commercial division.
John Murphy has been with the Doyle Shipping Group for over 30 years and has vast experience in stevedoring, warehousing and offshore support services. In his role as Operations Director, John is responsible for all stevedoring and warehousing operational activities in Cork. In 2012 John expanded his brief by also taking responsibility for Doyle Shipping Groups SHEQ and Insurance compliance and strategic planning.
Eoin O’ Sullivan joined Doyle Shipping Group in 1984. In 2006, Eoin was appointed to the role of Operations Director of Doyle Shipping Group, with responsibility for chartering, agency, towage and ferry operations. In 2011 Eoin was also given responsibility for overseeing the ship repair division (Cork Dockyard).
