Burke Shipping Group, is pleased to announce that it has successfully retained its ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 accreditation.
Initially certified to the ISO9001 standard in January 2010, Burke Shipping Group went on to achieve ISO14001 and 18001 OHSAS certification in July 2012.
The internationally recognised accreditation’s cover all three standards, Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety and involve a rigorous assessment of the management systems currently in place.

ISO & OHSAS STANDARDS
- OHSAS 1800:2007 Occupational, Health and Safety Management Certification is an internationally standard which provides a framework to identify, control and decrease the risks associated with occupational health and safety.
- ISO 9001:2008 is an internationally recognised quality management system (QMS) standard. It is the world’s leading quality management standard and has been implemented by over one million organisations in over 170 countries globally.
- The ISO 14001 Environment Management System (EMS) standard is an internationally recognised environmental management standard. It is a systematic framework to manage the immediate and long term environmental impacts of an organisation’s products, services and processes.
